Beta opens fall 2026

Plan your next trip before the group chat buries it.

WanderCrew is a group trip planner for friends and family. Trade ideas with the crew, build the plan day by day, and open it on the road with no signal. The beta opens this fall on iOS and Android at the same time. Leave your email and we'll write when your invite is ready.

We'll email you when your beta invite is ready, plus a short note or two when the app goes live. By joining you agree to our Privacy Policy.

A note from us

Why we built WanderCrew.

We're a married couple with a small studio in Northern Virginia, and we travel together a lot. Every trip started the same way: someone made a Google Sheet, pasted in links, and shared it in the group chat. Within a day, the chat had scrolled past it.

By the time the trip arrived, half the crew hadn't opened the spreadsheet, nobody knew the check-in time, and one person was fielding "wait, where are we going tomorrow?" texts from the car.

WanderCrew is the tool we wanted. Ideas go in with a note on why, so nobody has to dig through the chat for them. The plan is the spreadsheet you already know how to use, with days across the top and details down the side. On the road, the app opens on today and shows what's next and where you're sleeping, with directions to every stop.

It works offline because the best parts of a trip happen where there's no signal. And when you get home, the trip stays, notes and all, ready for the friend who asks where you ate in Moab.

Quick answers

Things you might be wondering.

When does the beta open?
Fall 2026, on iOS and Android at the same time. Invites go out in batches, and people who answer the short survey after signing up move toward the front of the line.
Is there a cost?
On your phone, WanderCrew is free: unlimited trips, every screen, and no account. The Crew plan is the one paid tier. It gives a trip's host an account with sync across their devices and room for up to 20 people on each trip, and those people only need free accounts. Only the host subscribes, and a friend who wants to host their own trip brings their own plan. The price will be announced at launch.
iPhone, Android, or both?
Both, at the same time. With an account, the same trip also opens in the web planner, which is the most comfortable place for spreadsheet-style editing. The phone is where the trip happens.
Do my friends need the app?
Only if they want to edit the plan or use the packing list, and a free account is all they need. Anyone else can follow along on the public link, a read-only page with no app and no account.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The whole trip is saved to your phone when you open it, and editing works in airplane mode. Changes sync when you're back in range. The trip map works offline too.
Does it give directions?
The map shows the whole route and lights up today's drive with where you are. For turn-by-turn, tap any stop or stay and it opens in Apple Maps or Google Maps, which already do that well.
Will you spam me?
No. Your email is used to invite you to WanderCrew. There's an optional box for the occasional note from the studio; leave it unchecked and that's all you'll hear from us. We never sell or share your address.
Who's behind this?
Fisherbird Software, a married-couple indie studio in Northern Virginia. WanderCrew grew out of our own trips being planned across spreadsheets and group chats. You can email us directly any time.
